• Engage faculty, students, and staff in campaigns that promote positive messaging to students and encourage a growth mindset, especially for first generation and underrepresented students.
  • Assign each entering student with names and contact information for their dedicated student success team members available to answer questions and help navigate college.
  • Study early alert best practice models and engage the UNT community in early alert town halls.
  • Continue an open dialogue about race and culture through UNT town halls and related activities.
  • Move toward the complete use of online forms, beginning with student forms, to expedite processes and replace the need for in-person signatures.
  • Facilitate visioning discussions about campus capital improvements that will provide the best and most engaging facilities for all students.      
  • Use a concierge service team to track students experiencing financial challenges and provide them assistance.
  • Improve the financial aid experience by creating a centralized scholarship application.
  • Implement call campaigns focused on retaining unregistered students.
  • Add tracking codes to the Data Warehouse to integrate key variables from Student Affairs and Academic Affairs (such as online, Frisco, and at-risk) into our student success prediction modeling.
  • Fully engage predictive analytics tools that will enable us to guide students through their degree in the most successful manner.
  • Investigate the possibility of adding a first-year experience class that can address early-learning content, such as EAB Navigate use and cultural competence.
  • Expand the use of a staff exit evaluation system to monitor staff topics for improvement and communicate de-identified, synthesized results to supervisors.
  • Create a campus calendar for clarity and risk management benefits.
  • Strategize and streamline communications across the university and colleges to avoid oversaturation.
  • Fund incentivizing scholarships for students.
  • Provide campus trainings and resources to encourage cultural competence for all university community members.
  • Enhance the online one-stop-shop experience for prospective students, including accessibility requirements and mobile access of UNT webpages.
